1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the FitMode website and fitness-planning services. It does not apply to third-party websites, videos, or services that FitMode links to or embeds.
2. Information we collect
- Account information, such as your name, username, email address, birth year, and authentication details.
- Profile and preference information, such as biological sex, height, weight, unit system, fitness goal, activity level, and dietary preferences.
- Fitness activity information, such as selected programs, completed sessions, exercises performed, completion status, sets, repetitions, weight used, workout duration, estimated calories, training load, and progress measurements.
- Technical information, such as browser and device information, pages visited, cookies, and local-storage data needed to keep your language, session, and progress preferences.
- Information you choose to send when requesting support or sharing feedback, including optional workout effort, difficulty, enjoyment, and pain or discomfort signals.
3. How we use information
- Provide, personalize, maintain, and secure FitMode.
- Save your account, selected programs, workout history, and progress.
- Estimate calorie targets and recommend training content based on the information you provide.
- Authenticate users, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and improve the service.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. Service providers and third parties
FitMode may use service providers to host the website, store application data, authenticate accounts, deliver embedded media, and operate essential features. Current integrations may include Supabase, Vercel, Google authentication when enabled, and YouTube or other media providers.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices. FitMode does not sell personal information. If advertising, analytics, or additional sharing is added later, this policy must be updated before those features are enabled.
5. Health and fitness information
Profile measurements, goals, dietary preferences, and workout history can be sensitive. FitMode uses them to provide fitness features and should limit access to people and service providers who need the information to operate the service.
FitMode is a general wellness service and is not intended to store clinical records or replace a healthcare provider. Do not submit medical records, diagnoses, insurance information, or emergency information.
6. Cookies and local storage
FitMode uses essential cookies and browser storage for authentication, language preference, selected programs, workout history, and related product functionality. Clearing browser data may remove locally stored guest progress.
7. Data retention and deletion
FitMode keeps signed-in profile, program, workout, exercise, feedback, and progress information while an account is active so the service can provide saved history and personalization. Guest progress remains in browser storage until it is cleared or synchronized.
Deleting an account removes the primary FitMode profile and linked program, workout, exercise-log, set, feedback, and weight-history records through database deletion rules. Service-provider backups and security logs may remain for a limited period under the provider's and operator's retention schedule.
You may request access, correction, export, or deletion using the privacy contact published by the FitMode operator. Some information may be retained where legally required or necessary for security and fraud prevention.
8. Security
FitMode uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no website, transmission, or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Use a unique password and protect access to your account and devices.
9. Children
FitMode is not directed to children under 13. Users who are not old enough to consent to data processing in their location should use FitMode only with authorization from a parent or legal guardian.
10. International use and legal rights
Your information may be processed in countries where FitMode or its service providers operate. Depending on your location, you may have additional privacy rights. The operator must add the disclosures and request process required by the regions where FitMode is offered.
11. Changes and contact
FitMode may update this policy as the service changes. Material changes should be communicated through the website or another appropriate channel.
Before production launch, replace this paragraph with the operator's legal name, mailing address, privacy email, and response process.
